چکیده

Progressive memory loss is a symptom of many dangerous neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and forgetfulness. The goal this study was to see how well bioactive molecules worked in animal models amnesia caused by scopolamine. Ginger has lot Zingerone (Zn), which makes up about 9.25% the total amount. Gramine (Ga) nonterpenoid indole alkaloid that found plants like barley wheat. It also known donaxine. Acute toxicity tests were done on both drugs. As an model for scopolamine induced rat selected behavioural evaluation Morris water maze (MWM) elevated plus used measure changes (EPM). In case biochemical glutathione (GSH), lipid peroxidation (LPO), catalase (CAT), AchE serum levels performed. Histopathological imaging animals administered per following grouping Zn (75,125,250 mg/kg p.o.) Ga (13, 27.5,55 mg/kg), standard donepezil (1 p. o.) This Zn, Donepezil reading demonstrate significant improvement antioxidant defence reversed (LPO, GSH), enzymatic (AchE) observed MWM EPM compared Positive control so above observation significantly fixed problems based discussion, drugs may be able fight Alzheimer's.

Neuroprotective effect of Cubebin: A dibenzylbutyrolactone lignan on scopolamine-induced amnesia in mice

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors represent a major class of drugs which provide symptomatic relief and improvement in cognitive function in Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this study, cubebin, a dibenzylbutyrolactone lignan, was isolated from Piper cubeba and investigated for its AChE inhibitory activity in an attempt to explore its potential for memory-enhancing acti...

Effect of Short and Long-Term Treatment with Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Scopolamine-Induced Amnesia

Two omega-3 fatty acids including docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are essential for the physiologic function of neuronal cell membrane. Normal function of neuronal cell membrane requires appropriate composition of fatty in its structure. Present study was designed to compare the effect of short-term and long-term pretreatment with omega-3 fatty acids on scopolamine...

Effect of a M1 allosteric modulator on scopolamine-induced amnesia.

It is well accepted that acetylcholine is involved in memory and learning processes and that loss of memory is characteristic of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Several muscarinic agonists have been shown to be clinically effective in the treatment of AD. However, their use has been limited due to adverse side effects. As a result, more selective M1 agonists are expected to be the next generation of ...

Effect of cerebral administration of enalapril on spatial memory in scopolamine-induced amnesia in rats

Numerous studies conducted in laboratory animals and humans indicate that angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors reinforce memory and learning. In this paper we study the effect of injection of enalapril into the cerebral ventricles on spatial memory of white mice in the double- y maze, following the induction of an Alzheimer- like amnestic model with scopolamine. To estimate the duration o...
